About CardOptimizer
What is CardOptimizer?
CardOptimizer is a free tool that helps you check your eligibility for credit cards before you apply. Every credit card application triggers a hard inquiry on your credit report, and getting denied means you took that hit for nothing. We built CardOptimizer to prevent that.
The Problem We Solve
Credit card issuers have dozens of hidden rules that can block your approval or disqualify you from a welcome bonus — even if you have excellent credit. Chase rejects applicants who have opened 5+ cards in 24 months. Amex won't give you a bonus on a card you've had before. Citi limits how often you can apply. These rules are scattered across forums, blog posts, and data points, making them hard to track.
CardOptimizer consolidates all of these rules into one place and checks them automatically based on your profile. Instead of spending hours researching, you get an instant eligibility assessment for every card.
How It Works
1. Tell us about your credit history
How many cards you've opened recently, what cards you hold, and any bonuses you've received.
2. We run eligibility checks
Your profile is analyzed against 15+ issuer-specific rules covering Chase 5/24, Amex lifetime bonus, Citi velocity limits, family card restrictions, and more.
3. Get personalized recommendations
See which cards you're eligible for, which ones are blocked, and exactly why — with links to detailed explanations.
Privacy First
Your data never leaves your browser. All eligibility checks run locally using JavaScript, and your profile is stored in localStorage on your device. We have no server-side database, no user accounts, and no tracking of your eligibility data. Read our full privacy policy for details.
